WHY WE HELP

If you or a loved one has ever needed long or short-term home care assistance, you will understand why PHC Foundation is so important to our community.  We provide a full range of health and home care services to our clients in the privacy of their own homes.  Our Certified Nurses Aides and Home Health Aides assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, bathing and companionship—under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

It has been estimated that by 2012, Ohians will begin turning age 65 at 8 times the current pace.  With this increase in demand, the PHC Foundation will continue our efforts to generate funds to advance our provision of health care in the area.  We will need the continued support of our friends, neighbors, colleagues and community to help meet that goal.

Sadly, many who need assistance have exhausted their funds and struggle to survive independently. They are physically unable to perform everyday tasks. However, as little as $200 would provide an individual a few hours of service every week for a whole month!  They would have a home-cooked meal, clean bed linens, clean laundry, and help taking a bath.  Things we take for granted every single day are simply unattainable for many older adults.
